PASPWA has been successfully implementing comprehensive services across the HIV and TB care continuum in Limpopo in the past 20 years, targeting key and vulnerable populations, including Transgender people. PASPWA is recruiting to fill the following position to continue driving health services intervention.
Job title: Peer Educator
Work Location: Vhembe District (Thohoyandou)
Division/Department: Outreach – Biomedical, Behavioural & Structural Services
Salary:R5, 400.00 per month

Basic Functions:
The main purpose of this position is to provide peer education and peer navigation for Outreach and Human Rights Defense to Transgender (TG) community and clients in the Comprehensive Prevention Programs for Transgender People. The incumbents are expected to promote program visibility, increase service uptake and disseminate program and related IEC material in bid to recruit TG clients into the program.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Program Marketing, Demand Generation and creation of an enabling environment;
· Behavioural & Biomedical Intervention - Peer Education and Peer Navigation;
· Structural Interventions;
· Reporting and Record Keeping.
Job requirements:
Education:
· Grade twelve (12) is required.
Experience Required:
· One (1) year experience working in NGOs or related field on HIV and other health matters is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
· Knowledge of Basic HIV;
· Good interpersonal skills;
· Good communication skills;
· Team player.
