GOLF is searching for an Golf Administrator!
The Golf Administrator works closely with the golf course guests on a daily basis. This position manages the golf staff and oversees the golf operations during their shift. The candidate must be able to properly communicate with customers and handle complaints. Providing a high level of customer service is imperative.
The Employee’s responsibilities shall include, among other things, the following:
- Greet guests and provide any information needed;
- Book tee times both over the phone and in person and monitor online tee sheets;
- Oversee staff who check in golfers before their round and complete merchandise transactions;
- Oversee the stock controller with regards to stock of pro shop merchandise and range balls;
- Assist with pro shop/kiosk merchandise inventory;
- Provide customers with information regarding the golf course, academy, driving range and putting course offerings;
- Manage the golf staff and make sure all their tasks are completed each shift;
- Assist the Golf Manager in overseeing the golf course and driving range operations while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction;
- Handle customer complaints;
- Assist in the training of staff when necessary;
- Understand and be able to execute the job of all the golf staff positions;
- Open and closure of the building and prepare it for customers when on shift and set alarm if required;
- Monitor the pace of play;
- Be knowledgeable and explain all golf course policies to the guests;
- Monitor the golf cart rotation;
- Manage the Marshall's who will be responsible for cleaning of golf carts and assure they properly charged;
- Assist with the development, promotion and execution of events and golf outings;
- Exhibit flexibility, creativity and efficiency in performing work assignments.
- Responsible for weekly staff scheduling;
- Tee sheet management; and
- Work with marketing team to create visual content to print materials;
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years work experience in similar administrative role;
- Computer literate;
- Extensive experience in the golf course business or equivalent sports/entertainment industry will be an advantage;
- Must be comfortable working with money and have attention to detail;
- Ability to enter data while on the phone;
- Must have basic math skills;
- Ability to follow direction and to think out side of the box;
- Must be able to learn the point of sale and tee sheet software and use as instructed;
- Must be able to work scheduled shifts that include and weekends;
- Must be able to work and communicate cooperatively with employees and customers; and
- Must be able to provide a high level of customer service.
